The organization offers opportunities to work with advanced equipment, large-scale operations, and a dynamic industrial environment.Role Description The Assistant Engineer role at AkijBashir Glass is a full-time, on-site position based in the Habiganj District. The Assistant Engineer supports daily production activities, monitors equipment performance, and assists in maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include coordinating with senior engineers and production teams, performing basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks, and preparing regular reports on operations, safety, and process improvements. The role also involves following standard operating procedures, supporting implementation of new technologies or process changes, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations on the factory floor.Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.Basic experience or training in production operations, manufacturing processes, or plant maintenance.Ability to read technical drawings, use measurement tools, and follow standard operating procedures.Working knowledge of safety practices, quality control concepts, and industrial best practices.Good analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills to support process improvement and troubleshooting.Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance personnel.Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office) and willingness to learn plant-specific software.Relevant engineering diploma or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; prior experience in a glass or similar manufacturing industry is an advantage.Willingness to work in a factory environment in Habiganj District and to follow all safety and compliance requirements.
