Mokuteki · Dubai, United Arab Emirates
Tailor my CV for this job — freeTime zone: Europe or Asia Build, launch, and run our first community for people navigating job loss and finding their next job.MOKUTEKI helps people navigate job loss and the job search with a practical playbook, an AI companion, workshops, and community. We want members to find useful help, build relationships, and feel less alone. Your job is to find out what makes that happen, then build and run it.Learn more: https://mokuteki.ioROLEThis is a hands-on role: you’ll own both the approach and its execution. We haven’t committed to a platform or group structure. You’ll talk to early users, identify where they could help each other, and test one or two simple formats. The community must be useful on its own, whether or not someone attends our workshops.YOU WILLUnderstand members. Learn what they need help with, what they can offer others, and what makes participation easier or harder.Design a first experiment. Decide who it is for, how it works, what benefit you expect, and how you’ll judge whether it helped.Build and launch. Set up the space, design onboarding, welcome members, make introductions, and facilitate the first exchanges.Follow through. Notice unanswered questions, stalled conversations, and people who haven’t found a way to participate. Find out what’s missing and adjust.Learn and change. Gather feedback and simple data. Keep what helps, improve what doesn’t, and stop activities that take effort without delivering value.Establish safety practices. Agree privacy rules, moderation responsibilities, and escalation procedures with the team before launch.Day-to-day moderation can be a separate responsibility. You remain responsible for designing and improving the member experience, not personally answering every message around the clock. What SUCCESS looks like in 6–8 weeksTest one or two formats with real members.Concrete examples of members receiving useful help and supporting one another.Evidence that people feel comfortable participating and are willing to return.A short record of what you tried, what happened, and what you changed.A recommendation for each format: continue, change, or stop, including the effort needed to run it.Each week, you’ll share a brief update: what we learned, what we’re changing, and what we need from the team.Message counts and attendance provide context. On their own, they don't show that the community helped. Quiet members count too.EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR You have personally launched or substantially improved a community where members help one another solve practical problems. We’re particularly interested in communities for job seekers, people changing careers, or people returning to work. Related experience could include professional retraining, newcomers seeking employment, or peer mentoring around career decisions. You should be able to explain:What was already in place and what you built yourself. What members needed and how that shaped your decisions.A format or process you introduced.Something that didn’t work and what you did next. How you assessed whether members benefited. You’re comfortable setting up community tools, using basic analytics, interviewing members, and facilitating conversations in English.Your title matters less than your contribution. A small community with clear examples of member value is relevant experience.MATCHING FIT: This pilot is about helping existing members, not attracting an audience.Experience focused primarily on brand promotion, customer acquisition, or fan engagement is not enough for this role. Marketing, events, coaching, and moderation can be useful parts of your background, but they don’t replace experience designing how members interact and help each other. You’ll develop the approach and run the first experiments yourself. This is not a strategy-only or moderation-only position.Acquisition and standalone content or events programs are outside the pilot. You are not expected to provide therapy or be on call 24/7.WORKING AGREEMENT:Contract: an initial paid 6–8-week pilot, with the potential to continue.Part-time / Full-time: weekly hours and deliverables agreed before starting.Remote: based in Europe or Asia.Working language: English.Compensation: agreed individually based on scope and time commitment.Start date: ASAP – agreed together.APPLY Please answer five short questions here: https://forms.gle/pVszuL3gEuSwzH8T9 We’ll ask about one community you worked on, your personal contribution, a change you implemented, and what happened afterward. Please also share your availability and expected monthly fee in USD for the weekly hours you propose. We’re asking about work you’ve already done – no cover letter, presentation, or unpaid task.Bullet points are welcome. If you don’t have exact figures, explain what you observed and what you couldn’t establish. An honest example of something that didn’t work is useful too.A LinkedIn profile is optional. A CV, website, or short experience summary works. Anonymized examples are welcome; please don’t share private member information.Short and specific is enough. We’ll read every response.
