About the CompanyStafmed is currently recruiting an experienced Consultant Internal Medicine Nocturnist for a full-time opportunity with a leading hospital in the UAE.About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified Consultant Internal Medicine Nocturnist to provide comprehensive medical care for adult inpatients during overnight shifts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing acute medical conditions, responding to clinical emergencies, and coordinating inpatient care during night hours.The successful candidate will contribute to patient safety, continuity of care, and effective clinical decision-making within a dynamic hospital environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult inpatients during overnight shifts.Manage acute and complex internal medicine cases, including patients with multiple comorbidities.Respond promptly to medical emergencies and clinical deterioration.Assess and stabilise patients requiring urgent medical intervention.Coordinate with emergency medicine, intensive care, nursing, and other clinical teams when needed.Review laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and other investigations to guide treatment decisions.Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.Ensure effective handover and continuity of care between day and night teams.Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital policies and clinical guidelines.Participate in patient safety initiatives, clinical audits, and quality improvement activities.QualificationsBoard certification or a recognised specialist qualification in Internal Medicine.Recognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, or an equivalent recognised qualification, where applicable.Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Internal Medicine.Proven experience managing acute medical admissions, inpatient care, and clinical emergencies.Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP, as applicable.Willingness and availability to work overnight shifts.Required SkillsGeneral and Acute Internal MedicineInpatient Medical ManagementAcute Medical EmergenciesClinical Assessment and Patient StabilisationManagement of Complex Medical ConditionsClinical Decision-Making and PrioritisationMultidisciplinary Team CollaborationPatient Safety and Continuity of CareCompensationAn attractive tax-free package will be offered based on qualifications, clinical expertise, and experience.
