Coordinator of Volunteer

Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteer is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers to support Shadow a Scientist’s programs and events. The coordinator will organize and deliver volunteer training, ensure volunteers understand their responsibilities, and provide ongoing guidance and support. Day-to-day tasks include managing volunteer records, coordinating communication with volunteers, and collaborating with program staff to align volunteer activities with organizational needs. The role also involves community outreach to build partnerships with schools, universities, and local organizations, as well as monitoring volunteer feedback to improve the volunteer experience.QualificationsDemonstrated ability in volunteer management and coordination, including scheduling, supervision, and maintaining accurate volunteer records.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with volunteers, students, staff, and community partners.Experience in volunteer training, including designing and delivering orientations, workshops, and role-specific guidance.Background in community outreach and engagement, preferably with educational, nonprofit, or youth-focused organizations.Relevant experience in program coordination or administration; prior work in STEM education or youth development is an advantage.Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.Comfort working in a multicultural environment and commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Education, Social Sciences, Nonprofit Management, or similar) or equivalent practical experience.
