Electrical & Instrumentation QA/QC Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) QA/QC Engineer for an oil and gas EPC company.We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) QA/QC Engineer to oversee quality assurance and quality control activities across oil & gas and power projects. The successful candidate will ensure all E&I installation, inspection, testing, calibration, and commissioning activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, approved procedures, international standards, and quality management systems.WHO WE ARETarget Engineering brings 50+ years of experience in EPC and industrial infrastructure. Join a business with deep technical roots, where your voice is heard, your impact is visible, and your career is part of a legacy of excellence.YOUR ROLEAs an Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) QA/QC Engineer, you will have the below key responsibilities including but not limited to:Quality Assurance Planning & ImplementationPrepare and implement Project Quality Plans (PQP) for E&I activities.Develop and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality procedures.Establish quality objectives, KPIs, and inspection hold points for E&I systems.Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and international standards.Interface with Engineering & ProcurementEnsure vendor and subcontractor compliance with project quality requirements.Participate in technical evaluation of vendor QA documentation and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).Review and approve vendor Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Material Test Certificates (MTCs), and calibration certificates.Field Quality Oversight & CoordinationCoordinate with QC teams to execute inspections, testing, and quality documentation.Monitor implementation of approved ITPs, procedures, and drawings.Participate in site quality audits, walk-downs, punch-list closeout, and pre-commissioning activities.Auditing & Compliance MonitoringConduct internal quality audits covering site execution, documentation, and processes.Monitor compliance with ISO 9001:2015 requirements and project-specific quality standards.Support client, PMC, and third-party audits.Non-Conformance Management & CAPARaise and manage NCRs for quality deviations and non-conformities.Conduct root cause analysis and develop Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).Monitor CAPA implementation and effectiveness.QA Documentation & HandoverReview inspection reports, test records, and quality documentation.Maintain loop folders, calibration logs, FAT/SAT documentation, and quality dossiers.Ensure timely submission of final quality handover packages to clients.Training & Quality AwarenessDeliver quality awareness sessions and toolbox talks.Train QC inspectors and project personnel on quality procedures and requirements.Promote a "Right First Time" quality culture and continuous improvement mindset.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORExperience5-10 years of experience in E&I QA/QC roles within oil & gas, petrochemical, power, or industrial EPC projects.Experience in both greenfield and brownfield projects preferred.Experience with inspection, testing, calibration, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.Exposure to tendering, estimation, and proposal support is preferred.Education and CertificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System awareness preferred.Familiarity with IEC, NEC, ISA, and ATEX standards.Skills and CompetenciesStrong knowledge of IEC, ISA, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, and related international standards.Experience with FAT, SAT, loop checks, calibration, continuity testing, and insulation resistance testing.Proficiency in calibration and testing equipment including HART Communicators and Loop Calibrators.Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Strong understanding of QA/QC systems, ITPs, method statements, and quality plans.Excellent analytical, reporting, documentation, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.Ability to work effectively under tight project and proposal submission deadlines.WHAT WE OFFERThe chance to contribute to some of UAE’s Oil and Gas EPC Mega projects.A collaborative, supportive environment that values innovation and excellence.Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.Competitive salary and benefits package.Ready to be part of our team?If you’re inspired by what you’ve read and believe you’re the right fit, we’d love to hear from you.Join Target Engineering and Construction Co.
