The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing electrical and automation systems across beverage production lines, with a focus on Krones PET and CAN lines and the PET stretch blow moulder (Krones Contiform), to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Responsibilities include designing and implementing process control and automation solutions, supporting robotics and automated equipment, and coordinating with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime. The engineer will support blow moulder operation and changeovers (heating ovens, blowing stations, preform feeding, mould and format changes), carry out root cause analysis of line stoppages, develop and update technical documentation including electrical drawings and PLC backups, participate in continuous improvement projects, assist with equipment commissioning and upgrades, and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Electrical Engineering skills, including knowledge of industrial power systems, control panels, and instrumentation.Candidates should have proven hands-on experience with Krones machines on beverage PET and CAN lines, including the Krones Contiform blow moulder.Candidates should possess competencies in Automation and Process Control, such as PLC programming (Siemens preferred), SCADA/HMI configuration, drives and servo systems, and integration of sensors and actuators.Candidates should possess capabilities in Robotics and related automation technologies used in manufacturing and packaging environments.Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving electrical, control, and automation faults on blow moulders and filling lines in a fast-paced production setting.Relevant bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.Experience in beverage or bottling plants running PET blow moulding and Krones lines is essential; FMCG experience is highly beneficial.Working knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for industrial electrical and control systems.Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and maintenance teams.Ability to work on-site in Dubai and support occasional off-hours maintenance or project work as needed.
