Electrical Design Manager - Data Centers

The Manager should be Electrical and is responsible for leading the electrical engineering design, technical coordination, and delivery of hyperscale and enterprise data center projects from concept through commissioning and handover. The role provides technical leadership for all electrical systems, ensuring that design solutions meet project objectives, company standards, client requirements, operational reliability, energy efficiency, and applicable international codes and regulations. The Senior Manager – Electrical oversees the performance of internal electrical engineering teams, external consultants, specialist vendors, and contractors to ensure integrated, innovative, and high-quality electrical engineering solutions. The position plays a critical role in delivering resilient mission-critical electrical infrastructure, optimizing design efficiency, supporting value engineering initiatives, and ensuring constructability throughout the project lifecycle.Job role functions: The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical engineering design and technical delivery of hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
• Develop electrical design strategies, engineering execution plans, and technical roadmaps aligned with business and project objectives.
• Manage the design and coordination of medium-voltage (MV), high-voltage (HV), low-voltage (LV), UPS, standby power generation, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, small power, and associated electrical infrastructure.
• Lead the design of mission-critical electrical systems to achieve high availability, redundancy, reliability, and operational resilience.
• Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables at all project stages, including concept, schematic, detailed design, IFC, and as-built documentation.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Project Management is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project delivery.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience leading electrical engineering teams for hyperscale, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience delivering complex data center developments from concept through commissioning.
• Extensive knowledge of HV, MV, LV distribution systems, UPS systems, standby generators, busway systems, electrical protection, grounding, lightning protection, and mission-critical power infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating with international consultants, utility providers, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and specialist vendors.
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering coordination, procurement support, construction administration, commissioning, and integrated systems testing.
• Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards, including IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS, and local authority requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
