ELV Technician

Role OverviewThe ELV Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems within the data center. This includes systems such as access control, CCTV, fire alarm interfaces, structured cabling, and monitoring platforms. The technician works under the supervision of the Electrical Engineer to ensure system reliability, security, and compliance with operational standards.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Operation & MonitoringMonitor and maintain ELV systems including access control, CCTV, fire alarm integration, and structured cabling.Support BMS and EPMS connectivity for electrical and mechanical systems.Preventive & Corrective MaintenancePerform scheduled preventive maintenance on ELV devices and cabling infrastructure.Respond promptly to ELV system faults and escalate complex issues to the Electrical Engineer.Installation & SupportAssist in installing and commissioning ELV systems during upgrades or expansions.Ensure proper labeling, routing, and termination of cables per standards.Compliance & SafetyFollow safety protocols and ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations.Maintain cybersecurity measures for ELV and monitoring systems.Documentation & ReportingMaintain accurate records of maintenance activities, configurations, and incidents.Report system status and work completion to the Electrical Engineer.QualificationsDiploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field.2–3 years of experience in ELV systems, preferably in data centers or critical facilities.Knowledge of access control, CCTV, fire alarm integration, and structured cabling.Familiarity with BMS, EPMS, and LAN connectivity.SkillsStrong troubleshooting and technical skills.Ability to work under pressure in mission-critical environments.Good documentation and communication skills.
