Estimation Engineer

Job SummaryThe Bid Engineer (Estimation Engineer) is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and submitting technical and commercial proposals for after-sales service contracts, retrofit projects, spare parts, maintenance agreements, and repair works. The role requires close coordination with customers, sales teams, service operations, procurement, and finance to develop competitive and profitable bids.Key ResponsibilitiesReview RFQs, tenders, and customer inquiries related to after-sales services.Prepare technical and commercial quotations for:Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC)Comprehensive Maintenance Contracts (CMC)Retrofit and modernization projectsSpare parts supplyRepairs and service worksEnergy efficiency and upgrade solutionsAnalyze customer requirements, specifications, and project scope.Conduct site surveys when required to assess equipment conditions and service requirements.Coordinate with service operations, engineering, procurement, and suppliers to obtain technical and commercial inputs.Prepare cost estimations, pricing calculations, and profit margin analysis.Develop technical proposals, compliance statements, and bid documentation.Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.Ensure bids comply with company policies, customer requirements, and contractual terms.Maintain records of quotations, tender submissions, and bid status.Required QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.3-8 years of experience in HVAC After Sales, Service Sales, Estimation, or Bid Engineering.Strong understanding of HVAC systems including: Chillers,AHUs, FCUs,VRF SystemsPackage UnitsCooling TowersExperience in preparing service and maintenance contract proposals.Knowledge of tendering procedures and contract management.Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems, and estimation software.Key SkillsHVAC Technical KnowledgeCost Estimation & PricingTender PreparationCommercial EvaluationContract ReviewProposal WritingNegotiation SkillsCustomer Relationship ManagementAnalytical & Problem-Solving SkillsTime ManagementPreferred ExperienceExperience with HVAC manufacturers or service companies such as Carrier, Trane, Johnson Controls, Daikin, SKM, Zamil, or similar.GCC/UAE/KSA market exposure is preferred.Knowledge of maintenance contracts, retrofit projects, and HVAC service operations.
