This FD role offers the opportunity to influence strategy, drive performance, contribute to a significant transformation, and value creation agenda and with clear opportunities for progression.About the PositionA Finance Director (FD) appointment in the Midlands, reporting to the UK MD and Regional CFO. Sitting on the Board, you will provide financial leadership across the UK business, with responsibility for Finance Controlling, Procurement, Commercial Governance, Risk Management and Productivity Performance. As a key member of the leadership team, you will contribute to business strategy, governance, and the ongoing transformation of the organisation.This is a broad and highly visible role, combining strategic leadership with significant commercial and operational influence. You will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, and compliance, while ensuring robust controls, risk management, and corporate governance across the business. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will support growth initiatives, evaluate investment opportunities, review commercial propositions, and help drive data-led decision-making across the organisation.Leading sizeable finance and procurement teams, you will champion financial discipline, productivity improvement, and cost optimisation, while fostering a high-performance culture. The role also encompasses responsibility for audit, tax, compliance, and legal oversight.The Successful Applicant For this Finance Director opportunity in the Midlands, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the UK business, successful candidates must have/be:A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with a proven track record in senior finance leadership roles, where transformation, change and performance improvement have been central to successPrevious experience within a supply chain or logistics environment is highly desirableExperience leading change within a growing, evolving, or complex organisationA well-rounded Finance Director, ideally with experience in a multinational group structureStrong business partnering skills, with the ability to provide strategic insight, commercial challenge, and operational support to the BoardA credible relationship builder with excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, able to operate effectively at all levelsStrong commercial acumen and the ability to contribute to strategic decision-making and growth initiativesA demonstrable track record of defining finance strategy, leading high-performing teams and balancing strategic leadership with a hands-on approachWhat is on Offer Six Figure Basic, Car Allowance, Bonus & other Excellent Benefits
