Financial & Accounting Controller

Ethos & Talent Recruitment is partnering with a well-established commercial company to identify a Finance & Accounting Controller.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the CFO and the CEO, the role is ideal for a finance professional with strong experience in financial controlling, reporting, budgeting, and accounting processes, preferably gained within a large commercial organization with a complex product portfolio, multiple SKUs, diverse sales channels, and demanding reporting requirements.Primary Responsibilities:Monitoring, analyzing, and presenting financial performance, business results, key KPIs, and variance analysis to support management decisions.Participating in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes.Preparing monthly management reports for the CFO and senior leadership, including trend analysis, profitability analysis, margins, and areas for improvement.Analyzing sales performance, gross profit, profitability, costs, inventory levels, and commercial performance by product, category, brand, channel, and market.Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes in collaboration with the Accounting team and CFO.Reviewing the accuracy of accounting entries, financial data, and ERP-generated information to ensure data integrity.Supporting the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports.Performing key account reconciliations, including customers, suppliers, inventory, bank accounts, and general ledger accounts.Supporting external audits, tax reviews, and cooperation with external advisors and auditors.Supporting compliance with Greek tax requirements, myDATA processes, and electronic invoicing requirements in collaboration with the Accounting team.Collaborating with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Warehouse, and Accounting teams to collect, analyze, and evaluate financial and operational data.Driving improvements and automation of reports, dashboards, financial processes, and internal control procedures.Your Profile:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.6 - 10 years of professional experience in roles such as Financial Analyst, Finance Controller, Accounting Controller, Commercial Controller, or similar positions.Previous experience within a large commercial organization, ideally with a complex product portfolio, multiple SKUs, brands, suppliers, and sales channels.Strong knowledge of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.Solid understanding of accounting processes, month-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and financial statements.Knowledge of Entersoft will be considered a strong advantage.Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with reporting tools and BI dashboards.Excellent command of the English language.What’s on Offer:Permanent employmentCompetitive salary aligned with qualifications and experienceYearly BonusMeal vouchersFull transportation coverage & parking slotPrivate health insurance
