Location: Athens, Greece (100% office based)Salary: CompetitiveOur client is a multinational shipping group based in Athens, Greece, seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join its group finance function.The role will take responsibility for financial reporting, consolidation and statutory reporting across the group, working closely with senior finance leadership and finance teams across multiple entities and international operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting across the group.Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and supporting reporting schedules.Ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely and compliant with applicable accounting standards.Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and year-end reporting.Coordinate the external audit process and act as a key point of contact for external auditors.Review financial information submitted by group entities and ensure consistency across reporting.Support group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries.Provide technical accounting guidance and support on complex accounting matters.Work closely with local finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.Support improvements to financial reporting processes, controls and reporting timetables.Assist with the implementation and development of accounting policies and procedures.Support senior management with financial analysis and ad hoc reporting requirements.Work closely with tax, treasury, FP&A and wider finance teams to ensure accurate group reporting.Contribute to finance transformation, systems and process improvement projects.Candidate RequirementsACA, ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant.Previous Big 4 or Top 10 audit experience is essential.Strong financial reporting and statutory accounting experience.Experience working with IFRS and preparing or reviewing consolidated financial statements.Strong technical accounting knowledge.Experience working within a multinational, listed or complex group environment would be highly advantageous.Shipping, maritime, transport, logistics or related sector experience would be beneficial.Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting processes and audit requirements.Experience dealing with external auditors and senior finance stakeholders.Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP and financial reporting systems.Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.Strong communication skills with the confidence to work across international teams and senior stakeholders.Proactive, detail-focused and comfortable working within a fast-paced multinational environment.
