Role Title: Forward Deployed Engineer

Location: RemoteDuration: 12 Months – Long Term ContractDescription: Position OverviewWe are looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to develop software-driven infrastructure automation solutions, integrate systems, and modernize infrastructure platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong software development experience with Java and Python, along with hands-on knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), configuration management, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.The engineer will work with stakeholders to understand technical and business requirements, build automation solutions, troubleshoot integration issues, and improve infrastructure reliability, performance, and maintainability.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and customize software applications and infrastructure automation solutions using Java and Python.Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform and configuration management tools such as Ansible.Develop and integrate APIs across network, compute, storage, cloud, and identity infrastructure domains.Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automated testing processes.Support platform engineering modernization and infrastructure automation initiatives.Identify and remediate legacy infrastructure currency issues to improve system reliability and maintainability.Analyze application and infrastructure requirements and design solutions that meet business and technical needs.Troubleshoot and resolve software, infrastructure automation, and system integration issues.Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.Perform testing, maintenance, and performance improvements to ensure the quality and reliability of applications and integrations.Support database design and development within application environments as required.Required Technical SkillsSoftware development using Java and Python.Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.Configuration management using Ansible.API development and systems integration.Infrastructure domain knowledge covering network, compute, storage, cloud, and identity.CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.Platform engineering and infrastructure modernization.Troubleshooting and resolving software and integration issues.EEO:“Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.”
