Tailor my CV for this job — freePrincipal/Staff Frontend Developer - US | Remote - $225,000 - $275,000I’m working with an early-stage, VC-backed AI security company building the runtime security layer for autonomous AI agents. Enterprises are giving agents real access to production systems, and their platform checks what those agents try to do against enforceable policy before anything executes. They’re past the founding phase, in a strong financial position and hiring across engineering and AI over the next six months. The core platform is built in Rust, frontend in React and Typescript, and the culture is research-led and AI-native.What you'll be doing in the role:They're hiring a principal-level engineer to own the frontend. It's where customers set what their AI agents are allowed to do and see every action those agents take. Designs are already in place, so the focus is engineering: you'll architect, build, and own the application.Own the frontend architecture end to end: application structure, state management, data fetching, and performance.Build the core of the product: authoring and managing guardrail policies, exploring agent activity and policy decisions, and reviewing adversarial testing results.Make high-volume agent telemetry fast to load, filter, and explore in the browser, at enterprise scale.Work closely with backend, platform, and AI engineers on the APIs and data models behind each feature.Set the bar for frontend quality, testing, and tooling in a small, AI-native engineering team. What you'll bring with you:Principal-level experience building complex production web applications, with a track record of owning a product's frontend.Expert TypeScript and deep knowledge of React (Vue is also fine)Proven depth in frontend performance, state management, and testing for large, data-heavy applications.Experience building AI products, ideally in security or observability.High ownership. Given a mission, you run with it and get it done.Nice-to-haves:Experience at an AI observability or AI security company, an AI lab, or an AI-focused team at a large tech company.Experience building observability, monitoring, or security tooling.Comfortable talking with customers and turning what you hear into product decisions.Familiarity with agent frameworks or policy-as-code.This role is offered as remote, only to candidates currently based within the US. This role cannot offer visa sponsorship/transfer.
