IMEP strives to exceed client expectations at every stage of project delivery and maintains long-term partnerships built on trust and performance.Role Description The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for IMEP’s engineering and contracting activities in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This full-time on-site role is responsible for overseeing project execution, resource allocation, budgeting, and overall business performance to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of projects. The General Manager will lead and develop cross-functional teams, set performance targets, and maintain robust processes for quality, safety, and compliance with local regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring project pipelines, managing key client relationships, reviewing contracts and proposals, and driving continuous improvement in operations and profitability. The role also involves identifying new business opportunities, shaping market strategies, and collaborating with senior leadership on long-term planning and organizational growth.Qualifications Proven leadership skills in managing multidisciplinary engineering, construction, or contracting teams and guiding them toward defined operational and financial objectives.Strong experience in project and operations management, including planning, scheduling, resource management, and risk mitigation for multiple concurrent projects.Demonstrated ability in business development, client relationship management, and contract negotiation within the engineering and construction sector.Solid financial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and performance analysis to support sustainable growth.Comprehensive understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory standards relevant to engineering and construction in the UAE or GCC region.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) is an advantage.Significant experience (typically 10+ years) in engineering or contracting, including several years in a senior management or general management role.Ability to work on-site in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and adapt to a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
