Job title: General Manager – Procurement & Imports (Pharma / Specialty Chemicals)Location: Sultanpur (Corporate Office), Telangana · On-site · Full-timeDescription:Lead global sourcing for a fast-growing pharma excipients manufacturer.Sigachi Industries is a leading manufacturer of pharma excipients and specialty ingredients. We are looking for a General Manager – Procurement & Imports to own strategic sourcing, international procurement and CAPEX buying for the business. You will report to the VP – Supply Chain Management and have direct impact on cost, continuity of supply and speed of project delivery.What you will ownStrategic sourcing: Build and run sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, engineering spares and consumables. Negotiate price, payment terms and lead times with domestic and global suppliers.Imports and international sourcing: Manage imports end to end, from PO placement through shipping, customs clearance and delivery. Work with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and banks, and bring down total landed cost.CAPEX and project procurement:Lead buying of capital equipment, machinery and utilities. Work with Projects and Engineering on specs, techno-commercial evaluation, negotiation and delivery against budget.Supplier development: Build alternate sources for critical materials, set up supplier performance reviews, and work with Quality on supplier qualification.Governance and MIS: Track savings, price variances, imports in transit and open POs through clear dashboards. Make sure procurement stays compliant and audit ready.Team leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing procurement team. Work with Finance, Operations, Quality, Engineering and Planning.How success is measuredProcurement savings vs. benchmark · Total landed cost · Import schedule and customs clearance adherence · CAPEX budget and delivery adherence · Supplier OTIF and quality · PO cycle timeWhat we are looking for18–25 years in strategic sourcing, commercial procurement, imports or materials management, ideally in manufacturingStrong record in international sourcing, supplier negotiation, freight and customs coordination, and landed-cost managementHands-on CAPEX and project procurement experience working with engineering teamsBackground in pharma, API, excipients, chemicals or specialty chemicals preferredExperience with ERP-based procurement and cross-functional stakeholder managementB.E./B.Tech, B.Sc or B.Com.
