Head of Data & Insights

Role Description The Head of Data & Insights is a part-time remote role responsible for leading AWECOM’s data strategy and insight generation across construction and infrastructure projects. This role involves designing and maintaining data frameworks, collecting and organizing operational and market data, and developing dashboards and reports that support strategic and commercial decisions. The Head of Data & Insights will analyze trends in project performance, costs, and market demand, translate findings into clear recommendations for leadership, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance forecasting and business planning. Day-to-day activities include defining key metrics, overseeing data quality, conducting ad hoc analyses, and presenting concise insights to senior stakeholders to drive growth and operational efficiency.QualificationsStrong Business Insights skills, with the ability to translate complex data into practical recommendations for strategy and operations.Proficiency in Market Analysis and Market Research to assess industry trends, competitive dynamics, and opportunities in the construction sector.Experience in developing Customer Insight, including understanding client needs, satisfaction drivers, and behavior patterns.Advanced Analytical Skills, including data modeling, trend analysis, and use of quantitative and qualitative data to support decision-making.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) and spreadsheet software for reporting and dashboard creation.Ability to work independently in a remote, part-time setting, with strong time management and stakeholder communication skills.Background in business analytics, data science, economics, or a related field; experience in construction, engineering, or infrastructure is an advantage.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; advanced degree or professional certifications in analytics or business intelligence are beneficial.
