Investment Banking Analyst - Natural Resources

About the jobWe’re working with a global investment bank to hire an Analyst into its market-leading natural resources coverage team in Australia. The team advises clients on M&A and capital raisings, and its deal flow includes some of the most significant and cross-border transactions in the sector across APAC.The roleYou’ll prepare client presentations, information memoranda and investment committee papers, and take on financial modelling, valuation and due diligence coordination. You’ll work closely with senior bankers and the bank’s global teams, and be given real responsibility on live transactions early on.The role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.What they’re looking for1-4 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance or equity researchA genuine interest in, and working knowledge of, the natural resources sectorStrong financial modelling and valuation skills, with a solid grasp of core financial conceptsThe ability to manage workstreams and contribute to live deals from day oneClear communication and close attention to detailA strong academic recordWhy this roleA highly regarded resources team with a strong position in the Australian marketExposure to cross-border deal flow and the bank’s global product teamsA track record of developing and promoting its peopleOwnership of workstreams from an early stageThis is a confidential search.
