Role Description The Director will provide strategic leadership for Paavai Engineering College, guiding academic, administrative, and operational functions in alignment with the institution’s vision and goals. This full-time, on-site role in Namakkal involves overseeing curriculum development, quality assurance, faculty performance, and student outcomes. The Director will coordinate with department heads, manage budgets and resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Daily responsibilities include setting institutional priorities, monitoring key performance indicators, fostering industry and academic partnerships, and promoting a supportive, inclusive campus culture. The Director will also represent the college in external forums, contribute to long-term planning, and drive initiatives that enhance institutional reputation and overall effectiveness.QualificationsStrong leadership and management capabilities, including experience overseeing academic programs, departments, or institutions.Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, policy development, and decision-making within a higher education or similar organizational setting.Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with faculty, staff, learners, and external stakeholders.Proven skills in resource management, budgeting, and operational oversight to support institutional sustainability and growth.Commitment to learner-centric education, continuous quality improvement, and maintaining high academic and ethical standards.Relevant advanced degree in engineering, technology, education management, or a related field; prior experience in senior academic or administrative roles is highly beneficial.Familiarity with regulatory requirements, accreditation processes, and higher education governance frameworks.Ability to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion and to cultivate a professional, respectful, and safe campus environment.
