Junior Accountant — Manufacturing

The OpportunityOur client is an established contract manufacturer serving recognizable North American consumer brands and retailers. They are adding an early-career accounting professional to a busy, hands-on Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent accounting graduate or junior accountant who learns quickly, is strong with numbers and wants to build practical experience in a manufacturing business.The position will focus primarily on accounts receivable and day-to-day accounting with occasional support to financial reporting and analysis. The position provides practical exposure to how Finance supports manufacturing operations.ResponsibilitiesSupport day-to-day accounting processes, reconciliations, accurate data entry and general ledger schedules.Support invoicing, cash applications, customer account reconciliations, receivables aging and follow-up on payment discrepancies.Assist with month-end close tasks, reporting schedules, account reconciliations and other accounting projects.Work with colleagues across Finance, Sales and Operations to resolve discrepancies and improve the reliability of information.QualificationsUniversity education in accounting, finance or a related discipline (completed or nearing completion).Up to 2 years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, co-op or internship experience is helpful; motivated recent graduates are encouraged to apply.Solid accounting fundamentals, comfort with spreadsheets and the ability to learn an ERP system.Good Excel skills, including formulas, lookups and working with data; more advanced analysis is an asset.High accuracy, curiosity, good follow-through, strong communication and the confidence to ask questions when something does not add up.Why consider itBuild hands-on manufacturing accounting experience, work with an experienced Finance team and broaden your skills over time.
