We run metabolomics, proteomics and lipidomics for pharma, biotech, cosmetics, food and academic clients. Every project ends in oloMAP, our own data platform, where clients explore their results. We're growing fast, adding new service lines and moving toward long-term partnerships with clients. We need a Lab Director to help us scale-up, maintaining the high standard quality that we are known for..The role You'll run all lab operations in Barcelona and make sure every dataset we send out is accurate, reproducible and on time. You'll lead the analytical team, own our LC-MS/MS platforms, and work closely with our bioinformatics and business teams to turn client questions into robust studies.What you'll doLead and develop the lab team (analysts, technicians, scientists)Own sample-to-data workflows for metabolomics, proteomics and lipidomics, from sample prep to data acquisition and QCSet up and enforce QA/QC standards, SOPs and documentation, and get the lab ready for audits and accreditationPlan lab capacity and turnaround times and decide which projects run first as volume growsManage instruments, maintenance, vendors and the lab budgetLead method development and validation for new services and assaysAct as scientific counterpart for key clients on study design and technical questionsCoordinate with our US and LUX lab to keep methods aligned across both sitesWhat we're looking forA people-first leader who builds a team where analysts and scientists feel trusted, grow their skills and take ownership of their workCollaborative and approachable: you work easily with bioinformatics, business development and our US team, and you turn different points of view into one shared planClear communicator who sets priorities, gives honest feedback and keeps the team motivated and aligned when deadlines get tight Master in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related field, or equivalent industry experience (PhD is a plus)At least 5 years of hands-on LC-MS/MS experienceAt least 3 years leading a lab or an analytical teamStrong grounding in QC, method validation and quality systems (ISO 17025 or GLP is a plus)Experience in a CRO, core facility or other service lab with real client deadlinesHands-on knowledge of mass spec instrumentsOrganized, pragmatic and comfortable in a fast-growing company where you build processes, not just follow themFluent English; Spanish is a plusWhat we offerA leadership role with real ownership in a growing international CROWork across a wide range of projects in pharma, cosmetics, food, environment and academiaAccess to a modern MS platform and a team that builds its own softwareCompetitive salaryBased at the Barcelona Science ParkHow to apply Apply through LinkedIn.
