Title: Lead Digital Operational Resiliency Specialist (DORA)Contract - Initial 6 MonthsHybrid - Dublin 1,2 Days On SiteRole OverviewDue to the growing complexity of our clients business operations and digital ecosystem, we are seeking a Risk Professional with demonstrable experience leading Compliance, Governance, and Risk Management programs.In this role, you will lead the implementation and oversight of our DORA compliance strategy. Your work will ensure the organization gains a heightened awareness of disruptive events, maintains a proactive regulatory focus, and embraces operational complexity with confidence. You will establish a level of digital operational resilience that enables the business to withstand, adapt to, and rapidly recover from major disruptions, including cyberattacks.Key Responsibilities & ScopeCollaborating with leadership across technology, legal, and operational divisions, you will be immersed in the following core areas:ICT Risk Management Strategy: Establish, refine, and maintain the organization's overall ICT Risk Management Framework in alignment with DORA standards.Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery: Spearhead the ongoing development, maintenance, and testing of robust BCP and DR strategies to minimize operational downtime.Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM): Perform comprehensive risk assessments on digital infrastructure and external services provided by third-party technology vendors.Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure complete compliance with DORA requirements and monitor ongoing regulatory developments impacting operational resilience.Governance & Reporting: Prepare regular risk assessments, compliance dashboards, and executive reporting for leadership and regulatory oversight bodies.Scenario Testing & Exercising: Plan and execute digital operational resilience testing, including cyber crisis simulation exercises.Incident Response Oversight: Coordinate with IT and Security teams to ensure ICT incidents are properly logged, categorized, and reported within mandated regulatory timeframes.Essential Requirements QualificationsDemonstrable Experience: Proven track record leading Compliance, Governance, and/or Risk Management programs within complex operational environments.Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), NIST, ISO 27001, or similar risk and security governance frameworks.Technical & Operational Acumen: Ability to evaluate risks associated with digital infrastructure, cloud services, and complex third-party vendor relationships.Crisis & Resilience Focus: Hands-on experience developing and testing Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) protocols for cyber/digital events.Communication & Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge technical risk requirements with executive governance needs.Berkley Business & Technology is a specialist consultancy, recruiting professionals for organizations throughout Ireland, UK & Europe; for more information go to www.berkley-group.com.If you would like to discuss this vacancy further or to discuss your career options in confidence, please send your profile to brendanoconnell@berkley-group.com
