Tailor my CV for this job — freeMy name is Dennis Gillan. I lost two brothers to suicide, eleven years apart. That’s why the Half a Sorrow Foundation exists. It’s also why we built LOSS Teams in South Carolina.LOSS stands for Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors. After a suicide, a county coroner, medical examiner, or law enforcement officer calls us. With the family’s permission, trained volunteers show up. At least one of them has lost someone to suicide too. We sit with the family. We bring resources. We follow up. No platitudes. No agenda.
