SELECTED is partnering with a leading global brand to hire a Product Project Manager/Merchandiser for its regional office in Dubai. This is a newly created role in the Merchandising team, with real ownership from day one.The opportunityYou will own the brand's custom apparel programmes for national sports bodies and government institutions across the GCC, from major multi-sport events to formal tenders. Around 70% of the role is product: shaping each collection with the design team, setting prices, forecasting volumes and managing production with the global headquarters. The rest is commercial: looking after contracts, collating orders and helping the sales team win new partners, with sports clubs and events to follow.What you will doOwn custom apparel programmes for national sports bodies and government institutions, from brief to deliveryLead product development with the design team, from concept and specifications to approved samplesSet article level pricing and submit quantity forecasts for production planningWork with global product, development and supply teams on specifications, quality, costs and timelinesDeliver kit on time for fixed event dates and tender commitmentsPrepare product input for tenders and help the sales team pitch to new partnersKeep track of contracts, collate orders and keep senior stakeholders informedReport progress, forecasts and risks to managementWhat you will bringA bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, product management or a related field5 to 6 years managing apparel or product projects end to end, ideally in sports, teamwear, uniforms or fashionStrong apparel knowledge, including fabrics, construction and product developmentExperience setting prices, forecasting volumes and managing production timelinesA commercial, sales-minded approach and confidence negotiatingComfortable managing very senior stakeholders, including sports federations and government clientsExperience with national team or event kit, teamwear or government tenders is a real plusGood working knowledge of Excel and PowerPointExcellent English; Arabic is a plus but not essentialWhat is on offerA newly created manager-level role with real ownershipA unique role and a chance to be part of something very exciting and rareHigh-profile kit worn on international stagesRegional and international travel, including to the global headquarters
