The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of retail merchandising, sales trends, and stock management, preferably within the textile or fashion retail industry.Key Responsibilities- Plan and manage merchandise assortment according to seasonal trends, customer demand, and sales performance.- Monitor inventory levels across retail outlets and ensure timely stock replenishment.- Coordinate with warehouse and store teams regarding stock transfers, distribution, and availability.- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to identify fast-moving and slow-moving products.- Ensure effective merchandise allocation based on branch-wise sales performance and requirements.- Identify stock shortages, excess inventory, and ageing stock, and recommend corrective actions.- Coordinate with relevant departments for new product launches, seasonal collections, and promotional activities.- Conduct regular store visits to monitor product placement, stock availability, and merchandising standards.- Prepare merchandising reports and provide recommendations to improve inventory turnover and overall sales performance.Qualification & Experience- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Textile Management, or a relevant field.- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant merchandising experience, preferably in textile/fashion retail.- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, and merchandise planning.- Proficiency in MS Excel and retail management software.- Experience with Retail Pro Prism will be an added advantage.Required Skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Excellent communication and coordination skills.- Effective inventory planning and reporting.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.- Good understanding of retail sales trends and customer preferences.
