Power Plant Mechanical Engineer – Cost Estimation & Technical OfficeJob SummaryWe are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in Technical Office and Cost Estimation activities, preferably within Power Generation, Industrial, and EPC projects.The candidate will be responsible for evaluating tenders, preparing cost estimates, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and developing technical and commercial proposals.Key ResponsibilitiesReview tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, and Scope of Work (SOW).Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and detailed cost estimates.Prepare RFQs and evaluate suppliers' and subcontractors' technical and commercial quotations.Identify scope gaps, exclusions, risks, and technical deviations during tender evaluation.Estimate material, manpower, equipment, and subcontractor costs.Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, project teams, and engineering disciplines.Support bid submissions and participate in technical clarification meetings when required.Ensure compliance with client specifications and project requirements.Perform basic mechanical engineering calculations, including pump sizing, piping pressure drop, HVAC cooling loads, and preliminary equipment sizing.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Office and Cost Estimation.Experience in Power Generation Plants and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) projects is highly preferred.Strong knowledge of piping systems, pumps, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment.Experience in industrial EPC, mechanical installation, maintenance, and construction projects.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and BOQ preparation.Familiarity with SEC standards, tendering procedures, and project execution requirements is an advantage.Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.Preferred ExperiencePower Plant Maintenance ProjectsMechanical Installation WorksIndustrial EPC ProjectsEstimation and Tendering
