The company is built on experience, driven by quality, and trusted to deliver concrete solutions that meet the highest standards and project specifications.Role Description The Quality Engineer role at Nile Mix for Ready-Mix Concrete is an on-site position based in Cairo, Egypt. The Quality Engineer is responsible for monitoring and controlling the quality of concrete production, including raw material inspection, mix design verification, and sampling and testing of fresh and hardened concrete. Day-to-day tasks include conducting laboratory and field tests, documenting test results, preparing quality reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and project specifications. The role also involves auditing production processes, identifying nonconformities, recommending corrective actions, and collaborating with operations, maintenance, and technical teams to optimize product quality and performance. The Quality Engineer supports continuous improvement initiatives, participates in customer and site visits when needed, and helps train site staff on quality procedures and best practices.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong knowledge of concrete technology, materials science, and mix design principles.Candidates should possess experience with quality control and quality assurance procedures, including sampling, testing, inspection, and documentation.Candidates should possess familiarity with relevant standards and codes (e.g., ASTM, ACI, EN, or local Egyptian standards) applicable to ready-mix concrete.Candidates should possess skills in data analysis, report writing, and use of laboratory and testing equipment for concrete and aggregates.Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with production, engineering, and site teams.Candidates should possess strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in ready-mix concrete or construction materials is highly beneficial.Ability to work on-site in Cairo, Egypt, adapt to field conditions, and travel to plants or project sites as required.
