Already working in quantum software? Here’s a chance to shape a package used by quantum researchers worldwide.We are hiring for a global technology organisation’s European research centre. Its quantum software team is growing, and this is a new role. You’ll develop the team’s quantum computing software package and help grow the international open source community around it.The roleDevelop and maintain a large C++ and Python quantum software codebaseWork alongside quantum researchers to turn new ideas into reliable, well-built featuresSupport and grow the package’s international community of users and contributorsChampion AI-assisted development across the teamYou’ll bringExperience in quantum computing, ideally with SDKs such as Qiskit, PennyLane or pytketStrong commercial C++ skills. This is essentialProduction Python experience, including CI/CDOpen source involvement, as a maintainer or regular contributorHands-on experience with AI-assisted / agentic development toolsA Computer Science, Physics or related degree, or equivalent experienceWorking pattern: Mostly remote, but not a fully remote role. You’ll need to be commutable to Berkshire for team meetings, which for most of the team means every couple of months. There’s also occasional international travel.Interested?
