Location: 1668 S Garfield Ave, Ste 100, Alhambra, CA 91801Compensation: $43.00 - $54.00 / hourDescriptionAstrana Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to be responsible for providing direct patient care for patients undergoing surgical and procedural interventions in an ambulatory surgical setting.

The RN performs pre-op, intra-op, and post-op nursing care, conducts patient assessments, administers medications, monitors patient responses and provides patient education. The RN ensures safe and efficient surgical operations in accordance with established protocols and standards of care. Our Values:Put Patients FirstEmpower Entrepreneurial Provider and Care TeamsOperate with Integrity & ExcellenceBe InnovativeWork As One TeamWhat You'll DoReceives patients from operating room or procedure areas and performs nursing assessment upon admission to recovery and up to dischargeProvides close observation and monitoring of post-op patients, including vital signs, cardiac monitoring, pulse oximetry, respirations, blood pressure, pain level, and level of consciousnessIdentifies cardiac arrhythmias and abnormal clinical findings through monitoring and interprets EKG data as indicated, initiating appropriate nursing interventions per physician or anesthesia ordersAdministers medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered and documents all interventions; observes and responds appropriately to adverse reactionsPerforms or assists physicians with sterile and non-sterile procedures, dressing changes, and post-op interventions as requiredProvides immediate respiratory support or emergency care when necessary, including use of oxygen, suction, AMBU bag, CPR and venipuncture per policyProvides post-op teaching and instruction to patients and families regarding recovery, medications, activity restrictions and follow-up careMaintains accurate and timely clinical documentation in patient recording, including recovery notes, vital signs, medications, and patient response to treatmentRecognizes and utilizes safety precautions and infection control procedures, maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe recovery environmentMaintains knowledge of supplies and equipment, restocking as necessary to support daily operationsAssists circulating nurse or surgical team with patient flow and post-op coordination as neededQualificationsMust be a Registered Nurse with a current California LicenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certification requiredPrevious experience in PACU, recovery room, ambulatory surgery, or acute care preferredDemonstrated knowledge of post-anesthesia care, patient monitoring, and emergency responseEffective communicator with strong organization skills in a fast-paced environmentHighly motivated and able to work with multiple teams simultaneouslyScheduling flexibility is preferredBilingual English/Mandarin and/or Cantonese strongly preferredEnvironmental Job Requirements and Working ConditionsOur organization follows an in-person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a daily basis at 1668 S Garfield Ave, Ste 100, Alhambra, CA 91801.The base pay range for this role is $43 - $54 per hour.
