Security Engineer

A major Australian organisation is seeking an expereinced Cyber Security Engineer! Join a technical team leading major cyber security transformational projects and uplift the company's security readiness. This is an ideal role for someone wanting to own and work with with a wide range of Security technologies across SIEM, EDR, Vulnerability Scanners, SASE, Firewalls, DLP and more. Sydney or Brisbane - Hybrid with occasional travelling out of state (fully expensed)Responsibilities: Work with the team on deploying and optimising new security solutions across SIEM, EDR, SOAR, DLP, IAM, Firewalls, SASE, CASB and more.Manage IAM using Entra ID - MFA, Conditional Access, RBACRespond to security incidents using SIEM and EDR and assist the creation of security incident response processesStrengthen the security policies, control and configurations of all security tech following vulnerability scans and risk assessments Desired experience: Strong experience with Entra ID and Defender EDRA broad security engineering background across a wide area of security is preferred e.g. SIEM, IAM, EDR, Firewalls, Vulnerability scanners, DLP etcA system administration background before moving into cyber is advantageous but not essential Security engineering project experience is preferredStrong communication skills - verbal and writtenA clean driving licenseActive Microsoft security certifications are a plus - AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, MS-500 etcMust be willing to travel 1x per month
