Role DescriptionWe are seeking a technically skilled and detail-oriented Senior BIM Coordinator / 4D BIM Specialist / BIM Lead to oversee Building Information Modelling (BIM) coordination, digital construction planning, and model-based project integration. This role focuses on improving collaboration between design and construction teams, maintaining model accuracy, and supporting project delivery through advanced BIM workflows and digital construction technologies.The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary BIM activities, manage model development standards, identify design conflicts, and support the integration of construction schedules with 3D models. The position requires strong technical knowledge, coordination capabilities, and the ability to translate project requirements into practical digital construction solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate BIM activities across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) disciplines.Develop, review, and maintain BIM execution plans, project modelling standards, digital workflows, and coordination procedures.Manage the development, integration, and quality control of multidisciplinary BIM models to ensure accuracy and consistency.Perform model reviews, clash detection, design coordination, and issue tracking to identify and resolve potential construction conflicts.Develop and manage 4D BIM models by linking 3D model components with project schedules and construction sequencing information.Coordinate with project managers, planners, engineers, architects, contractors, and construction teams to align model information with project requirements.Support construction planning through visual simulations, sequencing studies, progress monitoring, and digital construction presentations.Monitor BIM deliverables, model revisions, information exchanges, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Establish model coordination procedures and ensure compliance with project specifications, BIM standards, and information management requirements.Review model quality, data integrity, naming conventions, and documentation to maintain consistent project information.Identify opportunities to improve construction efficiency through BIM automation, digital integration, and advanced modelling techniques.Provide technical guidance and support to BIM coordinators, modellers, and project team members.Prepare BIM coordination reports, clash detection summaries, model review records, and technical presentations.Support the integration of BIM with project management systems, construction scheduling tools, and other digital engineering platforms.Promote continuous improvement in BIM implementation, collaboration practices, and digital construction processes.QualificationsA bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Building Services, or a related discipline is preferred.Strong understanding of Building Information Modelling principles and multidisciplinary model coordination.Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant digital construction tools.Knowledge of 4D BIM workflows, construction sequencing, project scheduling, and model-based progress visualization.Familiarity with scheduling platforms such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is an advantage.Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP design coordination, construction documentation, and technical specifications.Knowledge of clash detection, model auditing, data management, and BIM execution planning.Familiarity with BIM standards, information exchange procedures, and common data environments (CDE).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying design inconsistencies and resolving coordination issues.Ability to interpret technical drawings, construction schedules, engineering documentation, and multidisciplinary model information.Effective communication and leadership skills when coordinating with technical teams and project stakeholders.Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail when managing model revisions, deliverables, and project documentation.Knowledge of BIM automation, computational design, or digital engineering integration is an advantage.A proactive approach to technology adoption, technical coordination, and continuous improvement in construction project delivery.
