This position is employed by Revolutions and based at its dealership in Perth.About RevolutionsRevolutions is a car and motorcycle business in Perth, working with brands including Morgan, KTM, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Vespa, Royal Enfield, Indian and Norton.We are looking for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to take day-to-day responsibility for the business’s finances. Working directly with the business owners, you will keep the accounts accurate, make cash flow visible and provide the information needed to plan ahead.This is a full-time, permanent position, working on-site at the dealership.What you will doMaintain the sales, purchase and nominal ledgers in Sage, check transactions transferred from the Deep Blue dealership management system, and reconcile the accounts through to trial balance.Prepare monthly management accounts and clear weekly financial reports.Build and maintain a rolling 13-week cash-flow forecast, highlighting upcoming commitments and cash requirements.Run payroll, PAYE and workplace pension administration, keeping records and submissions accurate and on time.Prepare VAT returns and maintain vehicle margin-scheme records, with external accountant support for specialist matters.Monitor debtors, creditors, customer deposits and vehicle funding, and prepare payments for approval.Produce stock ageing reports highlighting vehicles held for more than 90 days and more than one year, including the potential cash released by clearing them.Reconcile warranty claim payments against claims submitted, working with the parts manager to resolve discrepancies.Work with colleagues across sales, workshop and parts to keep financial records complete and accurate.Identify genuine cost savings and practical improvements to financial routines.What you will bringYou will have substantial bookkeeping experience and be confident managing reconciliations, payroll, VAT and cash forecasting independently.You will be comfortable using Sage and spreadsheets, organised in your work and able to explain financial information clearly to colleagues.Motor trade experience would be helpful but is not essential. Experience with Deep Blue or a similar dealership management system would also be useful, but is not a requirement.Relevant qualifications or strong practical experience are welcome. You do not need to be a chartered accountant.Salary, bonus and benefitsBasic salary of £35,000 to £40,000 a year, depending on experience.A bonus of 10% of verified net cost savings, with no ceiling.
