The group manages operations across multiple companies, supported by a central finance function and company accountants who work together to maintain consistent accounting practices and timely financial reporting.As the group grows, its finance team plays a key role in maintaining accurate books, strengthening financial controls and supporting management across all seven companies.Role DescriptionThe Senior Financial Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, reporting to the Finance Manager. This role takes ownership of the books and month-end close across the group’s seven companies, ensuring consistent accounting practices and accurate, timely monthly accounts.Key responsibilities include:Review and finalise the monthly books prepared by the company accountants.Manage the month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions and journal reviews.Reconcile bank accounts, platform settlements—including Uber, Bolt, Yango, Deliveroo and others—receivables, payables and intercompany balances.Maintain fixed asset registers, including a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles.Lead the company accountants by assigning work, setting deadlines, reviewing entries and maintaining standard month-end close checklists.Ensure all group companies follow a consistent chart of accounts, closing timetable and accounting standards.Act as the first point of escalation for accounting questions before referring matters to the Finance Manager.QualificationsACCA, CPA or CMA qualification, or partially qualified CA.Hands-on experience maintaining accounting records and independently managing the month-end close.Strong Excel skills.Ability to review accounting entries, resolve reconciliation differences and maintain accurate books.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate accountants and meet deadlines across multiple companies.Excellent attention to detail, accountability and clear communication skills.#Hiring #Dubai #Accounting #FinanceJobs #ACCA #CPA #CMA #DubaiJobs
