Senior HSE Engineer

Our portfolio spans Dubai’s prime residential, hospitality, and commercial developments, reflecting our commitment to transparency, customer centricity, quality, integrity, and value creation through a construction-driven approach.With some of our exciting launches such as Burj Azizi (the second tallest tower in the world), Monaco Mansions and Azizi Venice – Dubai’s new luxurious Venetian-inspired waterfront community, we are expanding our onsite HSE team based at Burj Azizi in Dubai.As a Senior HSE Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) systems throughout all phases of construction. You will ensure compliance with UAE regulations, project HSE requirements, and international safety standards. The ideal candidate must have substantial experience in high-rise building construction, with strong technical knowledge of risk management, site safety, and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, implement, and monitor project HSE plans, policies, procedures, and safe working practices.Ensure compliance with UAE HSE legislation, Dubai Municipality requirements, and applicable international safety standards.Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Review and monitor Risk Assessments, Job Safety Analyses, Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work systems.Monitor high-risk construction activities, including work at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, and temporary works.Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.Conduct HSE inductions, toolbox talks, and safety training for employees, subcontractors, and site personnel.Monitor subcontractor HSE performance and ensure compliance with project safety requirements.Maintain HSE documentation, inspection reports, incident records, and statutory compliance registers.Coordinate with project management, consultants, contractors, and relevant authorities on HSE-related matters.Monitor HSE performance indicators and ensure timely closure of corrective and preventive actions.Support emergency preparedness, emergency response planning, and safety drills.Guide and supervise HSE Officers and other site safety personnel.Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement across the project.RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.Minimum 8–10 years of HSE experience in the construction industry.Mandatory experience in high-rise tower construction projects exceeding 50 floors.Candidates must clearly mention their 50+ floor project experience in their CV, including the project name and number of floors. CVs that do not demonstrate this experience may not be considered.UAE construction experience is mandatory.NEBOSH certification is mandatory.Strong knowledge of UAE construction HSE regulations and Dubai Municipality requirements.Experience in HSE audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety management systems.Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.Strong communication, leadership, reporting, and coordination skills.Ability to work effectively with project management teams, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors.
