The Senior Pharmacist will oversee daily pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include counseling patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and drug interactions, as well as maintaining accurate patient records and inventory control. The role involves supervising and mentoring pharmacy staff, coordinating workflow to ensure efficient service, and supporting quality assurance initiatives. The Senior Pharmacist will also collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and uphold high standards of clinical practice.Qualifications Strong clinical pharmacy knowledge, including pharmacology, drug interactions, and counseling on safe medication use.Proficiency in prescription verification, medication dispensing, and use of pharmacy management systems.Experience in supervising pharmacy staff, organizing workflows, and contributing to operational efficiency.Solid understanding of pharmacy regulations, patient safety protocols, and documentation standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), with valid pharmacist licensing/registration as required locally.Previous experience as a Senior Pharmacist or in a similar leadership role in community or retail pharmacy is highly beneficial.Commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional development, and delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
