Role Description The Senior Regulatory Food Specialist is a part-time hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with flexibility for some work from home. This role involves reviewing and interpreting food regulations, standards, and compliance requirements relevant to the company’s products and services. The specialist will prepare and maintain regulatory documentation, support product labeling and claims, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure adherence to food safety and quality guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring regulatory changes, advising on best practices for food preparation and handling, and assisting with internal audits or inspections. The role also requires clear communication of regulatory expectations to operations, quality, and commercial teams.QualificationsCandidates should possess skills in Food Preparation and Cooking to understand practical applications of food regulations.Candidates should possess skills in Food & Beverage and Food Service to support compliant operations and customer-facing activities.Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and regulatory bodies.In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP principles, and regional/international food regulations (e.g., Dubai Municipality, GCC, Codex) is highly beneficial.Experience in regulatory affairs, quality assurance, or compliance within the food industry is preferred.Relevant academic background in Food Science, Nutrition, Public Health, or a related discipline is advantageous.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulatory texts are essential.Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment and manage part-time schedules effectively.
