Site Engineer - Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer - Infrastructure to oversee and supervise day-to-day site activities for infrastructure construction projects. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working with construction or contracting companies, with strong knowledge of roads, utilities, drainage, sewerage, and other civil infrastructure works.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, and construction schedules.Manage infrastructure works, including roadworks, earthworks, excavation, backfilling, grading, drainage, sewerage, stormwater networks, and wet and dry utilities.Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution.Review approved shop drawings, IFC drawings, method statements, and project specifications before commencing site activities.Ensure that all construction activities comply with approved designs, quality standards, HSE requirements, and relevant authority regulations.Coordinate with surveyors for setting out, levels, coordinates, and alignment verification.Monitor manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor activities to achieve project milestones.Conduct site inspections and coordinate with QA/QC engineers to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.Arrange inspections with consultants and relevant authorities, and follow up on approvals and site observations.Identify site issues, resolve technical problems, and coordinate with the engineering team for timely solutions.Prepare daily progress reports, site records, inspection requests, and other required documentation.Monitor work progress against project schedules and report delays or potential risks to the Project Manager.Ensure proper implementation of HSE procedures and safe working practices at the site.Coordinate testing and commissioning activities for infrastructure utility networks, where applicable.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in infrastructure construction projects.Candidates currently working with construction and contracting companies.Hands-on experience in roads, drainage, sewerage, stormwater, water supply, and utility infrastructure works.Experience in site execution, subcontractor management, consultant coordination, and quality inspections.Good knowledge of construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and material approvals.Familiarity with UAE construction standards and relevant authority requirements is preferred.Required SkillsStrong site supervision and execution capabilities.Good technical knowledge of civil and infrastructure construction.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
