Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions across EMEA.We're currently looking for a Software Automation Engineer to join a global Cisco-focused team, driving the design and delivery of advanced automation solutions across enterprise-scale networking environments.This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the forefront of Cisco Network Automation, helping shape the future of automated infrastructure through software-driven networking and modern DevOps practices.What You'll Be DoingDesign and implement network automation solutions using Cisco NSO and related technologiesDevelop integrations using REST APIs, RESTConf, Kong API Gateway, Kafka, and database technologiesCollaborate with Product and Engineering teams to define automation strategies and roadmapsBuild and optimise automation workflows using PythonDrive adoption of NetDevOps, Agile delivery, and CI/CD best practices using Jenkins, Git, and JiraProvide technical leadership and mentor engineering teamsWork with modern virtualization and containerisation technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, ESXi, and KVMDeliver scalable, reliable, and interoperable automation solutions across complex Cisco environmentsWhat We're Looking ForStrong understanding of networking fundamentals and advanced network technologiesProven experience with Cisco Network Automation platformsExpertise in network automation and systems integrationAdvanced Python development skillsHands-on experience with Docker and KubernetesStrong knowledge of DevOps and NetDevOps practicesExperience working within Agile environmentsExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills
