Additional duties may include troubleshooting software defects, maintaining existing applications, developing APIs, managing databases, and preparing technical documentation. You will also support code reviews, software deployment, system integration, and the continuous improvement of development workflows while following established coding standards and security practices.As a Software Tester, you will focus on evaluating software functionality, identifying defects, and verifying that applications perform according to established requirements. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, preparing test plans, developing test cases, executing manual and automated tests, and documenting test results. You will work closely with software engineers, quality assurance teams, and product stakeholders to investigate reported issues and verify corrective actions. Additional duties may include conducting regression, integration, compatibility, and performance testing, maintaining testing records, tracking defects, and preparing quality reports. You will also help improve test coverage, refine testing procedures, and ensure that software releases meet defined quality standards before deployment.Both positions require accurate documentation, effective communication, and collaboration across technical teams. Successful candidates will contribute to reliable software applications, efficient development processes, effective defect prevention, and improved product quality while supporting organizational objectives and maintaining professional engineering standards.QualificationsA degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.Strong understanding of programming fundamentals, software development principles, and application testing methodologies.Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or similar technologies.Understanding of software development life cycles, debugging, version control, and system integration.Knowledge of test planning, test case design, defect reporting, and regression testing is beneficial for Software Tester roles.Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, API testing tools, or performance testing applications is an advantage.Understanding of databases, SQL, web technologies, and application architecture.Ability to analyze technical requirements, investigate problems, and develop practical solutions.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant technical documentation tools.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.A proactive attitude, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning, software reliability, and quality improvement.
