Strategic Finance Associate

About the opportunityWe're supporting an asset-heavy real estate business to hire a Strategic Finance Associate in Singapore. The business is backed by institutional private equity and operates across several Asia Pacific markets.This is a hands-on role in a small strategic finance team. The team works alongside pricing, data analytics and data engineering. You'll keep the monthly numbers running and dig into what's driving them. You'll also help leadership make better decisions, and work with senior stakeholders early in your career.What you'll do

• Prepare and consolidate the monthly P&L across markets, and support the monthly business review with leadership
• Analyse trends and variances, trace them back to the real drivers, and turn the findings into a clear "so what"
• Support the annual and half-year budget and forecast cycles, including the models and KPI tracking behind them
• Work with the data and analytics team to improve data quality and access, and automate reporting where you can
• Take on ad hoc analysis and cross-functional projects that link back to the P&LWhat we're looking for
• Around 1 to 3 years' experience in FP&A, commercial or corporate finance, or with a Big 4 firm
• Strong Excel and analytical skills, and an eye for detail
• Hands-on experience with data tools such as SQL or Python, or a genuine keenness to build it
• Curious, takes ownership and gets things done. You're comfortable rolling up your sleeves on imperfect data and seeing work through to the end
• Able to explain the numbers clearly to finance and non-finance colleaguesGood to have
• Exposure to real estate or another asset-heavy, capex-heavy business, including the balance sheet side
• Financial modelling experience, such as budgets, forecasts or scenario analysisWhy consider it
• Regular exposure to senior leadership, in a team that works closely with data
