Student Counselor

Job DutiesDevelop and implement student guidance and counselling strategies using effective teaching and mentoring methods.Promote equal opportunities and encourage student engagement and participation.Understand and respect cultural and social differences when dealing with students.Conduct individual and group counselling sessions to assist students with their concerns and queries.Monitor student progress and provide guidance and encouragement where necessary.Identify students facing difficulties or challenges and provide appropriate support.Coordinate with parents, teachers, universities and other relevant parties.Conduct assessments, evaluate results and provide constructive feedback.Maintain and regularly update student records and application details.Prepare progress reports and present updates to management.Assist students with university admission and visa application processes for Canada, Australia, the UK and the USA.Requirements GCE Advanced Level qualification with a relevant professional qualification.2–4 years of relevant working experience.Experience in handling student visa and university applications for Canada, Australia, the UK and the USA.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Good computer literacy and MS Office skills.
