Technology Research AnalystWe are seeking an experienced Technology Research Analyst to join our clients research team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis across Technology sectors. The team has scope to consider candidates that will look into a variety of tech sectors including ASICs & CPUs, Hyperscalers & Neoclouds, and Technology Components. This is an opportunity to develop differentiated industry insights, build proprietary research, and contribute to investment and strategic decision-making in some of the fastest-growing areas of technology.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive research and analysis across the technology landscape, including semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, AI-driven computing, and technology hardware components.Within ASICs & CPUs: Analyze the ASIC and CPU markets, including industry trends, product roadmaps, competitive dynamics, supplier ecosystems, and emerging technologies.Within Hyperscalers & Neoclouds: Research hyperscalers and neocloud providers, evaluating business models, infrastructure strategies, growth drivers, capital expenditure trends, capacity expansion plans, and competitive positioning.Within the Components space: Examine technology hardware and component markets, with a particular focus on cooling solutions, power supply units (PSUs), and related infrastructure technologies.Assess company performance, financial results, business models, market positioning, and long-term growth prospects.Monitor key industry participants, including manufacturers, suppliers, customers, cloud providers, semiconductor companies, and technology vendors.Track industry developments, product launches, earnings announcements, regulatory changes, and broader market trends.Develop and maintain industry databases, forecasts, valuation frameworks, and research models.Produce high-quality written research reports, thematic studies, presentations, and market updates for internal and external stakeholders.Synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly and effectively to support investment and business decisions.Collaborate with colleagues to identify emerging trends and opportunities across the technology ecosystem.RequirementsMinimum 3-10 years of relevant professional experience in technology research, equity research, industry analysis, consulting, investment research, or a related field.Demonstrated knowledge of one or more technology sectors, including semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, or technology hardware/components.Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret company disclosures, financial statements, market data, and industry research.Experience building and maintaining research models, forecasts, and large datasets.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for technology and innovation.Fluency in English and Chinese is required.Preferred BackgroundCandidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, including:Technology Equity ResearchSemiconductor ResearchIndustry Research and Market IntelligenceManagement ConsultingInvestment ResearchStrategy and Corporate DevelopmentTechnology-focused Data and Analytics RolesThis role offers the opportunity to gain exposure to some of the most transformative themes in technology, including semiconductors, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and next-generation infrastructure.
