About CreatoroomCreatoroom is a creative business specializing in 3D-printed products, personalized gifts, collectibles, and lifestyle accessories.Through our brands, including Mini Racquet Club and Useless Stuff, we turn creative ideas into unique physical products.We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and hands-on 3D Product Designer who can transform ideas and concepts into functional, visually appealing, and production-ready 3D models.Job Description & Responsibilities1. 3D Modeling & Product DesignCreate original 3D models for collectibles, accessories, keychains, personalized gifts, and lifestyle products.Transform sketches, references, and creative concepts into detailed 3D designs.Develop both aesthetic and functional product designs aligned with brand identity.Modify, customize, and improve existing 3D models based on product requirements and feedback.Explore new product concepts and design opportunities.2. 3D Printing & Production OptimizationPrepare 3D models for FDM 3D printing.Optimize designs for printability, durability, material efficiency, and production speed.Consider wall thickness, tolerances, supports, orientation, and assembly requirements.Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve printing issues.Prepare production-ready STL and editable source files.3. Prototyping & Product DevelopmentDevelop physical prototypes and evaluate their appearance, functionality, and quality.Conduct design iterations based on prototype results and production feedback.Improve existing products to reduce printing time, material waste, and production costs.Support the development of new products from initial concept to final production.4. Design Collaboration & DocumentationWork closely with the creative and production teams.Manage multiple design projects and meet agreed deadlines.Maintain organized design files, specifications, and revisions.Ensure final designs meet quality standards and are ready for repeatable production.RequirementsMust HaveExperience in 3D modeling and product design, preferably for physical products or 3D printing.Proficiency in at least one 3D modeling software, such as Blender, Rhino, or similar.Strong understanding of 3D shapes, proportions, dimensions, and modeling techniques.Ability to create clean, accurate, and printable 3D models.Basic understanding of FDM 3D printing processes, materials, and design limitations.Strong creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.Ability to translate visual references into original 3D designs.Willingness to experiment, learn, and iterate based on feedback.Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.Portfolio showcasing previous 3D modeling or product design projects is required.Nice to HaveExperience operating Bambu Lab or other FDM 3D printers.Familiarity with Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, or similar slicers.Experience creating articulated, modular, or multi-part 3D models.Understanding of multi-color 3D printing and assembly techniques.Experience designing consumer products, toys, collectibles, or functional accessories.Knowledge of parametric modeling and product design for manufacturing.Experience with product rendering and visualization.What We're Looking ForSomeone who:Enjoys turning creative ideas into real, physical products.Has a strong sense of aesthetics and product functionality.Understands the balance between creativity and production efficiency.Is proactive in proposing design improvements and new concepts.Can work through multiple design iterations without compromising quality.Takes ownership of projects from concept to production-ready files.How to ApplySend your CV and 3D design portfolio to nathan@creatoroom.id.Please include examples of 3D models you have designed, preferably with photographs of the final printed products.
