With a strong nationwide customer base, we are dedicated to consistently supplying superior products across all provincial areas.Role Description We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated, and result-oriented Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations, with a strong focus on cost accounting within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, manage the costing process, prepare timely financial statements, and contribute to overall cost control and efficiency improvement.Job RoleOversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and general ledger entries.Manage the full month-end and year-end close processes.Responsible for all financial functions of the related operation.Preparation of accurate periodic financial statements and reports.Manage bank deposits, process payments, and perform bank reconciliation.Maintain comprehensive books of accounts and manage all payments and cash books.Determine and analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, direct labor, and manufacturing overhead.Calculate and update standard costs for finished goods and Work-in-Process (WIP) inventory.Analyze and report on production variances (material, labor, and overhead) to provide actionable insights to management for cost control and efficiency improvement.Ensure excellent knowledge and adherence to Taxation, Final Accounting, Auditing, and Costing principles.Responsible for handling annual audits and related documentation.Job RequirementFully qualified with a Diploma in Accounting/ AAT/ CA or Chartered (a Bachelor’s degree in Accounts or Finance will be an added advantage).Excellent knowledge of Accounting and Finance principles, including Final Accounting, Auditing, and Costing.Minimum 4-6 years of experience in a similar capacity, with proven experience in manufacturing/cost accounting.Sound knowledge of accounting packages. Experience with an ERP system is an added advantage. Excellent knowledge of MS Office Package and e-mail is a must.Good communication skills, both oral and written, in English and Sinhala.Preference will be given to candidates residing close to the Moratuwa area.
