About Fusion Markets Fusion opened its doors to clients all around the world in mid-2019. Last year, we grew triple-digits across both revenue and clients, and we're on pace to outdo that again in 2026, outpacing competitors who are decades older than us. We're a talented team delivering trading products focused on the lowest possible costs for global clients looking to trade Forex, Cryptos, Stocks, Commodities and more. Our clients now trade close to $500 billion every month on our platforms worldwide. We have big dreams, know-how, and a high bar for the talent we want on the bus* with us to get there. Finance can be serious, but we aren't afraid to laugh along the way (*note: sorry, we don't actually have our own bus). You'll find us in a fancy building in South Yarra (Goldfields House), complete with 6-star amenities: two commercial-grade coffee machines, sparkling water taps, an infrared sauna, pool table and more. Fusion Markets is a place that cares deeply about our clients' trading experience and how we can improve it, but even more about the people at Fusion who help make it all happen. The Team You’ll Join We’re a small but mighty Data Team in Melbourne, led by our Global Manager of Data Analytics. You will own the analytics engineering layer that turns raw data into confident decisions: tested dbt models, trusted metric definitions and dashboards the whole business uses every day, with AI woven into how we explore, build and check our work. You’ll partner with Marketing, Sales, Client Services, Finance and Risk on projects like measuring the impact of pricing changes, sharpening sales and conversion reporting, and growing our in-house analytics platform, including a new way for anyone in the business to ask questions of our data in plain English. Your work will use analytics to drive strong business decisions, and as a true business partner working cross-functionally, you’ll show how AI can make our analytics even stronger, faster and more impactful. What You Will Own End-to-End Analytics Delivery: Own tickets from intake to impact: scope the request with stakeholders, define the metric, write the SQL, ship the answer and confirm it’s driving the decision. AI-Assisted Development: Use LLMs and AI coding tools every day to explore data, draft SQL and dbt models, generate documentation and validate outputs against source. Dashboards and Metrics in Hex: Build and maintain stakeholder-facing dashboards and a governed set of metric definitions, including AI-generated commentary that explains what moved and why. dbt Modelling on AWS: Extend dbt models on Athena and Aurora with tests, clear model and column descriptions, and documentation that makes the data model easy to read for both people and LLMs. Natural-Language Analytics: Help grow our text-to-insight layer by writing the semantic context it relies on and testing its answers against known-correct numbers. QA, Root Cause and Code Review: QA dashboards and metric logic before release, trace data issues from symptom to source to fix, ship via GitHub pull requests and review teammates’ code, AI-written code included. What Makes You Great In This Role AI-Native Analytics: You use AI tools hands-on, every day, to deliver production analytics people rely on, and you can explain which models you choose for which tasks and why. Trust, But Verify: You give the model the right context (schema, metric definitions, business logic), break problems into clear steps and validate every output against source data before it ships. Strong Technical Foundations: Experienced working with SQL, Git/GitHub, and Python, and have debugged and refined AI-generated SQL and dbt, with a solid grasp of joins, grain and nulls.Analytical Rigour: Hypothesis first. You test against the data, quantify impact, show your workings and have a track record of tracing a wrong number back to its root cause. Proven Delivery: You’ve shipped analytics that stakeholders have relied on for months, and you measure success by adoption and the decisions your work drives. Collaborative Builder: You turn ambiguous requests into well-defined metrics. Life at Fusion Markets Work from Anywhere Weeks: 2 weeks each year to work from anywhere in the world. Hybrid Rhythm: Work from home one day a week (except Mon & Fri—those are in-office). Leave that Stacks: An extra day of annual leave for every year you’re with us. Self-Care: Recover and recharge in our Wellness Centre that includes a hyperbaric chamber, compression boots, PEMF mat and reverse osmosis water, all here to help you feel your best. Growth And Support $3,000 L&D budget each year for courses, programs, or tools you choose. 3 Covered Psychology Sessions per year (mental health matters). Unlimited Books via our office library—if you want it, we’ll get it. Culture And Office Plenty of Connection: quarterly staff events and volunteer days, morning teas, and fortnightly Friday drinks. Serious Work, Not-So-Serious People: we care about outcomes and still make room to smile. Think this could be your thing? Hit apply and send through your CV.
