With extensive domain experience and tailored solutions, Century Software is a trusted partner for public sector financial management.Role Description The AI Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team in designing, developing, and deploying AI solutions that support government-focused financial management systems. This role oversees end-to-end project execution, including requirements gathering, technical architecture, model development, testing, and integration with existing platforms. The AI Team Lead coordinates with product, engineering, and client-facing teams to translate business needs into scalable AI features, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, data security, and performance requirements. Daily responsibilities include mentoring team members, conducting code and model reviews, managing project timelines, and optimizing workflows and tools for efficient AI development. The role also involves staying current with AI trends, evaluating new technologies, and contributing to strategic roadmaps for AI adoption within the organization.Qualifications Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding AI, data, or software teams and collaborating across technical and non-technical stakeholders.Hands-on expertise in AI/ML development, including model design, training, evaluation, and deployment using common frameworks and tools.Solid software engineering foundations such as programming skills, version control, testing practices, and integration of AI components into production systems.Experience with data management and analytics, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with structured and unstructured datasets.Ability to define AI solution architectures, plan project milestones, manage risks, and ensure delivery aligned with business and regulatory requirements.Familiarity with information security and quality management principles, with awareness of standards such as ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 considered an advantage.Background in finance, public sector solutions, or enterprise software for government agencies is beneficial.Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Effective communication skills, including the ability to present complex AI concepts clearly to diverse audiences and document solutions comprehensively.
