Tailor my CV for this job — freeThe ideal candidate will have a background in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or hands-on experience with coating and adhesive technologies.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and demonstrate pilot coater/laminator equipment for customer applications.Perform laboratory testing, analyze results, and prepare technical reports for internal and external customers.Calibrate, safety-check, and perform preventive maintenance on laboratory and pilot equipment.Support equipment changeovers, minor maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment upkeep.Develop and standardize laboratory test methods and procedures.Support root cause analysis and corrective action investigations for product complaints.Complete laboratory work requests and maintain technical documentation in internal databases.Collaborate with Sales, Key Account Managers, Application Engineers, and project teams.Present technical findings and support customer visits, demonstrations, and training.Follow site safety procedures and maintain 5S standards.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Chemistry, or equivalent hands-on coating expertise in coatings/adhesive technology.1–3 years of laboratory experience.Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with application equipment.Experience troubleshooting complex technical problems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to work 100% onsite in Bridgewater, NJ.Preferred QualificationsExperience in the packaging industry.Knowledge of web handling, coat weight variables, tension control, coating methods, and web drying.Experience operating pilot coaters, laminators, or similar application equipment.Familiarity with laboratory equipment calibration, preventive maintenance, and test method development.
