Project Director – Civil & Infrastructure Location: Dubai, UAE – Site & Office Based Company: Leading UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: AED 75,000 monthly package (depending on experience) About the Company: Our client is a leading UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor with an established track record of delivering major engineering and infrastructure projects across the region. They are looking to appoint a Project Director to lead the delivery of major civil and infrastructure works in Dubai. Position Overview: The Project Director will take overall responsibility for project delivery, overseeing programme, commercial performance, quality, safety and client relationships. The contractor’s project portfolio includes highways, road networks, airport runways, bridges, tunnels and associated infrastructure works. Working across both site and office, you will lead multidisciplinary project teams and work closely with senior management, clients and consultants to ensure projects meet contractual requirements and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Take overall responsibility for project delivery from mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Team Management: Lead and coordinate project management, engineering, commercial and construction teams, setting clear responsibilities and delivery priorities.
• Programme & Delivery: Oversee construction programmes, resources and project milestones, addressing risks and delays to maintain progress.
• Commercial Oversight: Maintain senior-level oversight of budgets, costs, variations and contractual matters, working closely with commercial teams to manage project performance.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Act as the senior project representative, maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, relevant authorities and other key stakeholders.
• Safety & Quality: Ensure project teams maintain the required health, safety, environmental and quality standards throughout delivery.
• Risk Management & Reporting: Identify and manage project risks, resolve escalated issues and provide senior management with clear reporting on progress, performance and delivery forecasts. Requirements & Experience:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is essential.
• Previous Project Director experience delivering similar civil and infrastructure projects is essential.
• Proven experience leading projects valued at AED 1 billion or above is essential.
• GCC project experience is essential; UAE experience is highly preferred.
• Strong contractor-side experience on major civil and infrastructure works, such as highways, road networks, airport runways, bridges or tunnels.
• Previous experience working with the RTA is highly preferred; candidates with closely related project experience will also be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and oversee programme, commercial performance and project delivery.
• Strong client management, contractual awareness and decision-making skills.
