Construction Manager – Civil & Infrastructure Location: Dubai, UAE – Site Based Company: Leading UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: AED 25,000–32,000 monthly package (depending on experience) About the Company: Our client is a leading UAE Civil & Infrastructure Contractor with an established track record of delivering major engineering and infrastructure projects across the region. They are looking to appoint a Construction Manager to oversee site operations and support the delivery of civil and infrastructure works in Dubai. Position Overview: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Manager will take responsibility for day-to-day construction activities, overseeing Foremen, site teams and subcontractors to ensure works progress safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. The contractor’s project portfolio includes highways, road networks, airport runways, bridges, tunnels and associated infrastructure works. This is a hands-on, site-based position focused on coordinating resources, managing work fronts and delivering planned activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Management: Oversee daily construction activities, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Team Supervision: Direct Foremen, site teams and subcontractors, setting clear priorities and coordinating activities across work fronts.
• Programme & Progress: Translate the project programme into practical daily and weekly work plans, monitor progress and address delays in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Resource Coordination: Plan and coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractor requirements, ensuring resources are available and used effectively.
• Technical Coordination: Work with engineering and survey teams to resolve site queries, confirm work requirements and ensure teams use current approved information.
• Health, Safety & Quality: Enforce site HSE requirements and coordinate with HSE and QA/QC teams to ensure safe working practices, required inspections and timely correction of defects.
• Subcontractor Management: Monitor subcontractor progress, workmanship and productivity, resolving site coordination issues and escalating concerns where required.
• Reporting & Delivery: Provide the Project Manager with accurate progress updates, resource requirements and details of site constraints, supporting completion and handover of works. Requirements & Experience:
• Previous experience as a Construction Manager on civil and infrastructure projects is essential.
• UAE civil and infrastructure construction experience is essential.
• Proven experience managing site operations on projects such as roads, highways, airport runways, bridges, tunnels or associated infrastructure works.
• A degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
• Strong experience supervising Foremen, coordinating subcontractors and managing labour, plant and materials.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, method statements and project programmes.
• Sound understanding of construction sequencing, site productivity, quality requirements and safe working practices.
• Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to site delivery.
