Back Office Assistant

Role Description The Back Office Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Colombo. This position is responsible for overseeing back office operations, including trade processing, record maintenance, reconciliations, and administrative support for the front office and finance teams. The Back Office Manager will ensure that daily transactions are accurately recorded, operational procedures are followed, and regulatory and internal compliance standards are met. The role involves coordinating office administration, supervising support staff, preparing reports, and maintaining effective communication across departments to support smooth brokerage operations. The individual will also contribute to process improvements, risk mitigation, and the implementation of operational best practices.QualificationsStrong expertise in Back Office Operations and Operations Management, with the ability to oversee daily workflows and implement efficient processes.Demonstrated proficiency in Finance-related tasks, including reconciliations, transaction tracking, and support for financial reporting in a trading or brokerage environment.Solid Office Administration skills, including documentation management, coordination of office activities, and supervision of administrative staff.Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders and prepare clear reports.Experience in trading, brokerage, banking, or financial services environments is highly beneficial.Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in using office software and trading/back office systems; familiarity with Excel and data management tools.Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.Ability to work on-site in Colombo and manage time effectively in a fast-paced operational setting.
